Wood moisture measuring system  with FMPA approval

The FMI systems are the only capacitive in-line moisture measuring system which have been approved by FMPA. As a result this continuous wood measuring system can be applied to determine the moisture content of wood in the glue lam industry.


The first approval relates to

- the measuring system for longitudinal transport with density correction.
- the wood species spruce, pine and fir.
- cross-sections which are admissible for Dimension Lumber & Boards, Timber and Glue-lam products.
- wood moisture content between 6% and 20%.
- density or strength range without limitations.

The newest approval relates to

- the measuring system for transversal transport with density correction.
- the wood species Spruce, Fir and Pine.
- a maximum wood thickness of 100mm.
- a MC range 6...20%.
- without density or strength restrictions.
